Who is Hal Schroeder??

I'm a wedding photographer in Cleveland Ohio.

   It all started about 10 years ago. This is when I fell in love with photography. It was back when eBay got started and me being the geek that I am had tons of action figures to get rid of. So I became an eBayer and started slinging toys. Didn't take me long to get bored with the photos I was taking and wanted to make them better. So with my point and shot and a pair of flash lights I started playing around and reading up on photography. I got to tell you that little camera and flash lights got me by for a few years. Next thing you know I had my first DSLR and started taking it to local shows and making friends with bands. That had grown to the bigger shows and what a blast that was. I still shoot shows from time to time and have a blast doin it.One day a friend of mine asked me to shoot his wedding. The day of that wedding was the day I found out what I wanted to do with the rest of my life.

This wedding was amazing on so many levels. Its always flattering when another photographer chooses me to photograph their wedding. Not that anyone choosing me is not flatting. But it is a bit more special when coming for a man who knows his way around a camera (and in front of it for that mater). Scott Mann is that guy you should check out his work Scottmannphoto.com it is awesome and for me shooting his wedding yeah no pressure there lol.

As for the other amazing factor it was my time first seeing a Asian tea Ceremony!! The photography started in Cleveland at Sau Mei’s grandma’s house for the Tea party ( I was calling it that all day so might as well keep it going).

But first I have to post this photo so Sau Mei can roll her eyes

After the Tea Ceremony we had an killer homemade lunch with the Sau Mei’s family. What a great group of people. And then back to house to get ready for the wedding.
